Infinity Avionics - a UNSW spinout revolutionising the space industry

From its humble beginnings as a research project at the UNSW Canberra, Infinity Avionics has become the Australian Space Startup of the Year. Infinity Avionics has successfully commercialised a range of precision-engineered space products, including high-resolution Earth observation cameras designed to provide detailed images of the planet's surface from space. The cameras use advanced optics and electronics to capture high-quality images of the Earth's surface for various applications, including environmental monitoring, disaster response, and urban planning.

Through their unwavering dedication and cutting-edge research, Infinity Avionics is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for high-quality Earth observation data, which is becoming increasingly important for various industries and applications. Their unique approach has earned them recognition and numerous awards, including the Australian Space Startup of the Year title.

To successfully launch Infinity Avionics, Igor, Damith, and the team had to adapt and pivot to overcome the challenges, including transitioning from researchers to startup founders, securing funding and overcoming technical hurdles. However, their determination, grit, and innovative spirit helped them overcome these obstacles and set them on a path to success.
